Why do I need a gun cleaning brush?
As a rule, we don’t recommend using brushes for firearm cleaning.
However, if you’ve fired a large number of rounds—and especially if you haven’t cleaned your weapon in a while—mechanical removal of fouling may become necessary.
If you do use a brush, remember:

Do not press hard against the surface

Clean gently in one direction only

Avoid scrubbing back and forth to protect delicate finishes
